The MJØÅR LUN collection in white, black, sage green and steel on a kitchen counter

A cappuccino, a flat white, a matcha latte. Whatever you steam your milk for, dairy or oat, it always starts with the pitcher. So we made one worth reaching for, and keeping on show.

Philosophy

Honestly, the world was not waiting for another milk pitcher.

But if you reach for it every morning, it should feel good and look good.

So we took our cues from the premium shelf. A 1 mm steel body instead of thin sheet metal: you feel it the moment you pick it up. A spout that draws precisely, and forgives the occasional restless morning. Quiet matte colours that become part of your kitchen instead of an accessory in a cupboard.

We tested it where nothing gets babied: on a real café bar, in the middle of the daily rush.

We took the packaging seriously too. A beautiful box, a cotton pouch, all made so it is just as good to gift as to unwrap yourself.

The name

, spoken "Mjoar".

An invented word with a real core: mjölk is Scandinavian for milk, å a quietly flowing stream. Milk, in flow. That is all a pitcher needs to do.

In every detail

For every day. For years.

We wanted a pitcher that looks as good as it pours. Matte and quiet in tone, careful in every detail.

Heavier gauge

A 1 mm wall, against the usual 0.6 to 0.8 mm. The extra weight steadies your hand as you pour, and you feel the temperature of the milk through the steel. So you can tell for yourself when it is enough, before the milk gets too hot.

Balanced handle

A cleanly finished handle joint, with no gap for milk to linger in. Easy to clean, sturdy in daily use. And balanced enough that the pitcher does the work, not your wrist.

Matte finish

Velvety matte, pleasant in the hand and forgiving of the small traces of everyday life. Hand-washed, the colour stays beautiful the longest.

Precision spout

The part that matters most. Our spout is shaped so latte art actually works: not so fine that it takes years of practice, not so wide that drawing becomes impossible. Hearts and rosettas, within reach.

Lab-tested 304 steel

Everything that touches your milk is genuine 304 stainless steel. Independently lab-tested to LFGB. Not just claimed.

The founders

A father, a son, and two coffee cities.

MJØÅR started at home, around a portafilter, and behind a café counter in Vienna. We are a father and son: Thorsten in Munich, and Jonah, who studies international business in Vienna and has worked weekends at a café there for three years. One of us in tech, the other behind the counter, both hooked on the same cup.

The best milk pitchers were always black, or steel, never anything with real character. So we built the one we both wanted: matte, understated, exact, and better made than the rest.
